I have a strange relationship with my dreams. I don’t remember many of them, but those that I do take on such vivid color and saturation that I feel often like I’m inside a Quentin Tarantino film - minus all the shooting and gore of course.
Everything is just a bit brighter, drenched in warmth and wet, rich, hues. If I were to just touch the surface, my finger would come away smudged with color.
The rich bold brushstrokes and the mosaic of layered saturated color is the focus of this piece. We are up-close-and-personal to the dreamer, uncomfortably so, wrapped intimately with her experience as she emerges into this technicolor dream world through a veil of teal. After all, what is more intimate than a dream?
