Tipsy Cups as the name suggests came from many teetering tottering inspirations. The subject and idea came from my collection of coffee mugs and a lifelong love for coffee. I have painted multiple stacked cups before but I wanted this one to be a true tower, its stacked angles reminiscent of my favourite home from the Harry Potter series - the Burrow. This is what I came up with.

The pastel color palette and the surreal saucers add to the whimsical nature of this piece. It's everything I love about my days condensed on to canvas: stories, coffee and magic.
